Computer viruses are programs written by “mean” people. These virus programs are placed into a commonly used program so that program will run the attached virus program as it boots, therefore, it is said that the virus “infects” the executable file or program. Executable files include Macintosh “system files” [such as system extensions, INITs and control panels] and application programs [such as word processing programs and spreadsheet programs.] Viruses work the same ways in Windows or DOS machines by infecting zip or exe files.

A virus is inactive until you execute an infected program or application OR start your computer from a disk that has infected system files. Once a virus is active, it loads into your computer’s memory and may save itself to your hard drive or copies itself to applications or system files on disks you use.

Some viruses are programmed specifically to damage the data on your computer by corrupting programs, deleting files, or even erasing your entire hard drive. Many viruses do nothing more than display a message or make sounds / verbal comments at a certain time or a programming event after replicating themselves to be picked up by other users one way or another. Other viruses make your computer’s system behave erratically or crash frequently. Sadly many people who have problems or frequent crashes using their computers do not realize that they have a virus and live with the inconveniences.

Maya Bay is located in the South of Thailand on Koh Phi Phi Ley, the second largest island of the Koh PhiPhi archipelago. The archipelago is off the mainland Western coast and South East from Phuket. As a protected natural reserve, Koh PhiPhi Ley is an (almost) uninhabited, remote island. Maya bay is a wonderful bay surrounded by 100-metre high sheer cliffs. By being almost separated from the sea, it looks pretty much like a huge natural swimming pool and gives a feeling of privacy. There are three beaches in total in the bay, two of which being pretty small and quiet. The main beach is about 200m long with soft white sand and exceptionally clear water.

Maya Bay is considered one of the prettiest places in the world. It really is but unfortunately it’s far to be a secret and there is an important affluence of tourists during the high season. So that beautiful place is not secluded. Up to 30 long tail boats and speedboats can be parked on the beach and thousands of people visit everyday. Then, it may be wise to get there early in the morning or in the late afternoon to avoid the crowd.

Maya Bay is where have been shot some scenes of the movie “The Beach” starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Virginie Ledoyen & Guillaume Canet. Since the release of the movie in 1999, Maya Bay has become the main attraction of the Phi Phi archipelago and as mentioned before may be crowded with tourists at some time of the year.

As the underwater visibility is excellent Maya Bay is great for swimming and snorkelling. Numerous colourful corals and fishes make a great underwater environment waiting to be explored. Another popular activity in Maya is sea kayaking. It is now also possible to do some camping on the island, with all the fun going with it and more important, the opportunity to enjoy the beach really early in the morning, when it’s not so crowded yet.

When doing any kind of home improvement it requires supplies! They can be purchased anywhere though, so you don’t have to worry about where you are going to get them. Supplies can be anything from tea light holders to a brand new bathroom suite. They should all be available at your local hardware, home decorating or crafts store. Depending on what home improvement supplies you purchase your cost will vary greatly. Obviously a new kitchen or bathroom is going to cost a lot more than a set of candles or a new carpet.

Home Improvement supplies are not only limited to buying in shops but you can also purchase them from the internet. Be careful when using the internet; make sure that the online shop that you are buying from has a lot of reputable feedback and has plenty references. Many people on the internet are not who they claim to be. Internet shops are always cheaper than buying from your local store but you usually have to pay for postage and packaging which can be expensive depending on the size, shape or weight of the item or items that you are buying.

Home improvement supplies are of course essential when it comes down to the actual job. Make sure when you are purchasing your supplies that they are what you want and not what the professional contractor is pushing you to buy. If he or she is pushing then it probably means there is a cheaper alternative, probably a few pages ahead of the one that you are looking at in their magazine.

Generally supplies are the main things when it comes to home improvements as you can’t improve anything without something else, now can you? Exactly! So, when purchasing your supplies, whether they are from an internet website or a local crafts shop all you need to do is make sure that they are what you want and you feel that they will be improving your home! There is no point spending money on things that are not to your taste and will make your house appear no different than it already is, the aim of the game is to improve!

Small business owners have to market their businesses smarter than before these days – With the recession looming with no visible end, every single penny counts. Many small business owners today are bootstrapping and going frugal.

If you are interested in low budget but effective marketing, I have some tips to share you Here are 5marketing tips to help you find (more) customers and close more sales, quick:

Don’t advertise like the big guys

Unlike us the smaller counterparts, big businesses advertise to build brand name and nurture future sales. We simply don’t have the budget to do so. Instead, DIY your advertising and/or outsource it to low-cost advertising companies, even freelancers. Make sure you always include an offer in your advertising that get prospects to be more inclined to respond.

Always offer lower cost alternatives

Prospects simply want to hang on their money as much as they can, as long as they receive satisfying result. They want lower price for the best result they can get. Instead of burning your own business in a price war with your competitors, consider creating a “light” version of your services or products by stripping out non-essential features that will keep yours appealing to a certain segment in the market.

Alternatively, offer a premium version of your service or product

Not all prospects want cheap prices. Many are willing to pay a premium to receive high quality product or service. On contrary to the point above, you can actually combine several products or services into a premium package that is offered at a higher price tag.

Go online

You should go online for either promotional purpose or selling your products or services. It’s low cost, easy to learn and easy to do. Blog for your small business enhance your branding, while setting up a website will reach more customers from a rapidly growing number of online shoppers. Don’t forget to use available social media, such as Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn to build a community that can get you marketers and business evangelists.

Try unconventional marketing methods

Spy on your competitors, and learn what they are doing in common. If you do your homework well, you may find an innovative idea or two that will increase your profitability while avoiding competition. One idea: Conventional mail box is not obsolete, yet – You can sponsor your local event flyer (ask for an exclusive sponsorship) that will generate considerable sales leads in exchange for a small amount of money.
